This widget displays a heading. Enter a name for the section, and then set the level: h1, h2, h3, and so on.
Headings are an essential part of webpages. Just making paragraph text bigger doesn’t have the same effect.
So why should you use headings? Here are a few reasons:
- Get better search engine rankings. Search engines look through the HTML of your page, and headings tell them how the page is structured.
- Help users understand the structure of your page. Your visitors won’t read every bit of text on your site. People don’t read that way on the web—they scan pages quickly, and zero in on what they want to know. Headings help them do this.
- Consistency across pages. Instead of manually making a few words bigger, use a heading. Then when you use another heading, the font will have the same size, color, and so on.
